10 Weeks, 4 Days

Well, the Ultrasound puts the baby's growth at 10 weeks, 6 days, but that's how far along I am! I'm trying to get this written before the nausea gets really bad again (yes, still battling the nausea - no fun).
Our first appointment with our OBGYN was today, and it went great! The baby's heart beat is at 167 bpm, and the Doctor said everything looks healthy with the baby. The head and spine are forming how they should, and he didn't see any complications thus far. Our next appointment is in about 3 weeks, and I will get the results from my blood panel then (getting my blood panel done this week).
Jason and I were so excited to see the baby! At first the baby was very still. It looked like the baby was sucking it's thumb (which you can see in the pictures), but I don't know if it really was since I don't think it can do it this soon in development. Towards the end of the Ultrasound, the baby suddenly started moving like it was jumping around or dancing. It was so amazing! So here are the pictures from the ultrasound, and a little 3D 180 degree picture scan. Enjoy!!!

Exciting News

Sorry it's been ages since our last update. Things have been crazy busy! This post won't be quite as long either, because I don't know how long I can last without feeling sick! So for those of you who don't already know, the big news is....
We're Pregnant!!!
It's very exciting, and very exhausting! I have had horrible morning sickness for the past couple of weeks. I was finally put on some medication yesterday to help ease the sickness (wasn't able to keep any food or fluids down), and it seems to be helping a lot. I'm finally able to eat again. I'm not 100%, but at least I can eat! Jason has been an amazing husband helping to take care of me. I'm so blessed to have him!
So the pictures below are from the first ultra-sound. Our doctor wanted us to get it done early on to make sure that everything was looking okay. I was 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant, so the baby kind of looks like a smudge :). But it has a heart beat, around 150 beats per minute, and it's healthy and on track with it's size. YAY! We're so excited!

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers in our behalf. We'll keep you all updated on the progress! Oh, and I am currently 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant as of today. The Due Date is August 25, 2011.

Playing house!

The family went to Capers Acre this Saturday (a park in Chico), and it was so much fun! Kylie got worn out playing on all the toys and getting to ride in her floaty in the creek! Here are some fun photos of the day, and some others from Jenny's five day stay. We love it when she comes to visit!!!
One quick story: After I got off work on Wednesday, I went to my Dad's where Jenny was with the girls. I walked into the room where Jenny was with the girls, and Jenny said, "Kylie, looks who's here!" Kylie looked at me, smiled big, and came running at me yelling, "Zee Zee!" When I pick her up she hugs me and says, "Where Jay-un (Jason)?" I was sooo touched! She knows we're a package deal!! Lol... Jason felt so touched too!I think Jason was a little too big for this toy... Oh but he tries!Kylie is enthralled with the "Fresh Beat Band."Megan is 5 months old, and crawling already!Aunt Zee Zee with Mae Mae!She is SUCH a HAPPY BABY!!!This is our "Playing House" photo!

This is a huge block of cement cheese. Jason was in one of the holes holding Megan up so she could peek through the top. Kylie thought it was so funny!
Kylie was so thoughtful in trying to keep us all cool with the spray bottle full of water. Uncle Jesse was a main target.
Grandpa Brad had a great idea of bringing a floaty with a rope on the front so he could tow Kylie around in the creek. She LOVED that!
"Grandma is so much fun! She plays dress-up with me!" Does anyone else here a song in their head?... "Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match! Find me a find, catch me a catch!"

I love how mom is laughing in this while Kylie is crying...lol. She wasn't feeling too good. Mom was cracking us as she was commentating this scene, "No one will buy my radishes...whatever will I do?"
And someday when Jason and I have kids of our own and have run ragged each day, we will look this good all the time.

Thursday's Zoo Adventure

I wasn't able to post this yesterday, so I'm doing it now - in the Long Beach Airport! Thankfully, they have Wi-Fi. Jason and I are about 2 hours early for our flight! Yesterday was a wonderful experience at the Zoo! Jason and I sported our hats we got from Gaslamp Quarters, and he will tell you himself how this is the hat of his dreams :). We found our favorite multi-species exhibit, which had monkeys and otters! It was so fun watching the otters trying to get the treats from one of the monkeys. The exhibit was beautifully landscaped, with waterways for the otters, and tons of climbing equipment for the monkeys. Oh, and they also had some sort of pig species as well. The lady who was feeding the animals treats (she worked there) told us that the monkey we saw playing with the otters would sometimes hop on the pigs and ride them like horses!! We didn't see that, but we enjoyed what we did see!
Lunch was at the amazing Albert's Restaurant, which provided us seating right next to a waterfall! The food was delicious, but the atmosphere was what was most memorable. It was definitely a place we would recommend to anyone visiting the San Diego Zoo! It was a wonderful last day at the Zoo, and we are so grateful we were able to go as many times as we wanted during the week.
Later that day we picked up our rental car and tried to go to the Cabrillo National Monuement, but it was closed. We got to see some great views of San Diego though that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to see. I'll post those pictures later today when we get home. What a wonderful trip!
